For Your Information (FYI) Book Policy: Textbooks are furnished to your child by the school system on a loan basis and should be treated as borrowed property. Students must pay for the loss or abuse of textbooks. Educational Field Trips: Properly supervised and planned educational field trips are an important part of the instructional program. A signed permission form is required from a parent or guardian for all field trips. Students who wish to go on school-sponsored trips must be aware that on such trips, they are under the supervision of any teacher or chaperone who attends. The school expects students to be representatives of the school and will consider the student’s previous conduct before granting permission. Students will be subjected to faculty discipline for any misconduct and disrespect shown to authority while away. Parents may be asked to volunteer as chaperones on school-related field trips. Fire Drills: Fire drills are held once a month during the school year. Students are expected to obey pertinent rules of safety. Sexual Harassment Policy: Any inappropriate touching, gestures or statements from any student on the school premises will not be permitted.
